Integrity and Work Attitudes Survey

Does your company need integrity, work attitude and drug testing? Consider this. Of 81,000 people surveyed by the Orion PE System:

  • 24.9% admitted to stealing from previous employers. Research shows that nearly all admitted thieves state their main reason for their thievery was pressure from creditors. Over 49% admitted to being behind on their bills.
  • 28.5% admitted to some drug use
  • 24.0% admitted they had problems with absences in previous jobs
  • 30.0% admitted tardiness in previous jobs

Most businesses are finding it increasingly difficult to attract and hire the "right" employees. Interviewing, training, orientation, lost productivity, poor customer service and legal liability are making hiring mistakes a very costly proposition. Job interviewing usually takes the form of candidates completing an application form and engaging in one or more interviews. Interviewers often ask general questions that may have some relevance, depending on the interpretation of the responses by the interviewer. It is very likely that the process will culminate in a hiring decision based on intuition and emotional reaction to the applicant. Unfortunately, this scenario contains very little objective information on which to base the hiring decision.

Bottom line, as one of our clients put it, "Even if the candidate has all the skills and is uniquely compatible with the position, what good would it do to hire the individual if he will steals from you or take drugs on the job?" We could not agree more. Thus we sincerely recommend you use these two powerful tools in your selection process.

How the Orion PE System Works

The Orion PE System is a computer or Scoring Center based integrity and work attitude assessment that provides reliable, valid, objective information on job related attitudes an applicant brings to the workplace. Extensively researched and validated to be free from adverse impact on any protected minority, the Orion PE assessment is completed by the applicant and quickly scored by entering the responses into software on your computer or faxed to the Employee Selection & Development Scoring Center. The assessment takes 20 - 25 minutes to complete, with results obtained in 5 - 7 minutes.
